A total of 13 drills, one each month, will start to land
in Venezuela from China ending July, reported Minister of
Energy and Petroleum and CEO of state-run oil holding Petróleos
de Venezuela (Pdvsa) Rafael Ramírez.
Once the arrival is complete, which is expected to occur
in 2008, the drills will be assembled in Venezuelan territory.
Further, the minister noted that Pdvsa will retake the control
of more than 46 similar equipments property of Pdvsa that
were in private hands.
In order to operate the drills, a subsidiary called Pdvsa
Servicios will be organized, Ramírez told official Agencia
Bolivariana de Noticias (ABN).
